November 16 Workshop with Coleen Merte – Pink Grapefruit

In this workshop, you will make this beautiful quilt.  Pink Grapefruit takes a traditional pattern, but recreates it through a modern filter, to make this stunning quilt. This is one of Coleen’s most requested workshops.

Supply List

4 1/4 yards white

1 1/2 yards dark gray

1/3 yard light gray

1/3 yard solid coral

1/4 yard coral print (pieced blocks)

1/4 yard second coral print (pieced blocks)

12 1/2″ square third coral print

12 1/2″ square fourth coral print

12 1/2″ square light gray print

12 1/2″ square second light gray print

5 1/2 yards backing

2/3 yards binding

Sewing machine, with all presser feet including zigzag foot

Thread to match fabric for curved pieces

Neutral thread for piecing

Spray starch

Fabric scissors and paper/plastic scissors

Pencil

Straight pins

Rotary cutter, mat and rulers

Iron

Cutting intructions will be emailed to you prior to class.  Coleen asks that cutting be done before class begins to save time. Do not cut curved piecing before class.  We willl do this together in class.
