for the Spectrum Health Hospice pillows
General
Information:
18 x 18” square
Front
may be in any design
Back
may be coordinating fabric with an overlapping fold over in the middle.
Our
current team of four will be happy to insert the completed pillow covers into
the forms.
Directions
Fabric:
Cotton or flannel
Pattern:
Your own choice, pieced or appliquéd
Pillow
Top: Size
18 ½ x 18 ½
Pillow
Back: Cut 2 14
½ x 18 ½ rectangles.
On 18 ½ side, turn back ¼ inch and press, then fold 2 inches, press
and stitch.
Overlap
finished edges to make 18 ½ inch square.
Baste
overlap ¼ inch from the edge to secure.
With
right sides together stitch top to back then turn right side out.
Label:
Sew on both ends on the inside bottom side of overlap.
The label will be
seen only when lifting the over flap of the overlap,
(Quite
a tongue twisterJ)
Sign first name only on the white space of the label.
Collection:
Bring
to any WMQG general meeting.
A Coordinator will collect them and deliver
to Spectrum Health Hospice.
